Rates
- Group tours of the Davis Mansion at Morven Park are defined as parties of 16 guests or more.
- For groups of 16+ the rate is $10.00 per person.
- To block the hour for a group less than 16, the flat rate is $160.00.
- For teachers interested in field trips, the student rate is $0/student and $5.00 per chaperone.
Tour Reservations
Group tours are offered Fridays – Mondays from March – December.
Dates offered on a first come, first serve basis. Various dates may not be available due to scheduled events, site rentals, and staffing availability.
Reservations must be made 2 weeks in advance with a member of the Morven Park Preservation Department, via email (grouptours@morvenpark.org) or by phone (703-777-2414 x6620).
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon receipt of your invoice to secure the requested date. The date will not be confirmed until the deposit is received.
Deposits may be paid by all major credit cards over the phone or checks mailed to P.O. Box 6228, Leesburg, VA 20178 (payable to the Westmoreland Davis Memorial Foundation).
The tour balance is due one week prior to the tour date by check or credit card.
If your guest count changes, Morven Park must be notified at least one week prior to your tour. The ability to accommodate increased numbers will be subject to availability.
Please notify us at least one week in advance of any special needs, such as handicap accessibility. We are happy to make accommodations as needed.
Tour rescheduling for any reason is subject to availability.
Groups are greeted at the Mansion Visitor Center, unless otherwise noted. Directions and maps can be found HERE.
Food and drink are not permitted in the Davis Mansion. Groups planning to enjoy lunch on the grounds may do so in the designated picnic areas.
Tours will occur rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, programs are subject to alterations.
Any group arriving late (15 minutes or more) will experience a shortened tour to honor the originally scheduled departure time without a refund.
Morven Park is not responsible for tardiness due to traffic, difficulty in locating the site, or any other unforeseen travel impediments. It is the responsibility of the group leader to obtain clear directions prior arrival.
Visitors of all ages should wear appropriate footwear and expect to encounter uneven or inclined surfaces of various materials such as gravel, grass, brick, asphalt, or sidewalk.
The path from the main parking lot to the Davis Mansion includes standard road-grade in the lot, to the small-grade gravel of the main garden path. After exiting the garden, guests walk up the sidewalk in front of the mansion at a slight incline.
Within the historic mansion museum, there are stairs (a flight of 12 steps with a landing to rest, if needed, followed by 8 more steps) to the second floor. A similar staircase is encountered to descend at the conclusion of the tour.
